According to Shiva Maha Puran, the body colour of Lord Ganesha is green and red. Ganesha is not only worshipped as the god of education, knowledge, wisdom and wealth but is also the one of the five prime Hindu deities (Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva and Durga being the other four) whos idolization is glorified as the panchyatana puja. Created by the five auspicious metals of Panchdhatu, Ganesha depicts his seated profile. Petals of Hibiscus flower are on the right while on left is a spray of Shami leaves- both auspicious to Lord Ganesha.
The design of this pendant is prominently marked with the all-knowing eye, his adamantine tusk, and his curved trunk holding bowl of sweets. Both the tusk and the sweets are rendered in diamonds.
